BizHR.org is not a law firm.
Nothing on this website, in any toolkit, resource, template, checklist, training material, or communication from BizHR.org constitutes legal advice. Use of this website or purchase of any product does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Nature of Services
BizHR.org provides HR compliance consulting services — not legal services. Our work includes: program design, policy template development, training delivery, recordkeeping guidance, and compliance documentation tools. These services are intended to help California employers understand and organize their compliance obligations.
HR compliance consulting is distinct from legal advice. We help you understand what the law requires and build the systems to meet those requirements. Whether your specific situation is legally compliant, or whether a template is appropriate for your particular circumstances, are questions that may require review by a licensed California employment attorney.
Accuracy of Information
We work diligently to keep all content current and accurate. California employment law changes frequently — through legislative action, regulatory amendment, agency guidance, and court decisions. Information on this site reflects our understanding of California law as of the date published or last updated.
BizHR.org makes no warranty, express or implied, that any information, template, checklist, or resource on this site is complete, current, or suitable for your specific workplace. Employers should verify requirements with the relevant enforcement agency (Cal/OSHA, CRD, DLSE, DIR) and consult qualified employment counsel before implementation.
Templates and Policy Documents
Policy templates, written plan templates, and form templates provided by BizHR.org are starting points — not finished compliance documents. California law requires that certain programs (notably the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan under Labor Code §6401.9) be site-specific and customized to each employer's actual workplace conditions, hazards, and personnel.
A template that has not been customized to your specific workplace does not satisfy statutory requirements. BizHR.org is not liable for penalties, citations, or legal liability arising from use of uncustomized templates, or from templates that have become outdated due to subsequent changes in law.
Training Services
Training delivered by BizHR.org is designed to meet the interactive training requirements of California law as of the date of delivery. We are not responsible for changes in law that occur after training is delivered, or for employer compliance decisions made after training. Training records are the employer's responsibility to maintain per applicable retention schedules.
No Guarantee of Regulatory Outcomes
Use of BizHR.org services does not guarantee that your workplace will pass a Cal/OSHA inspection, avoid a CRD complaint, prevail in litigation, or qualify for PAGA penalty reduction. Compliance is an ongoing employer obligation. BizHR.org provides tools and guidance — the responsibility for implementation and maintenance rests with the employer.
External Links
This site links to government resources (Cal/OSHA, CRD, DIR, DLSE, LWDA) and third-party websites. BizHR.org does not control, maintain, or endorse external sites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, BizHR.org and its principals, consultants, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of this website, its content, or its services — including but not limited to regulatory penalties, employment claims, or litigation costs. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with any product or service is to discontinue use.
